This deck was published in 1982 as an experimental idea from Stuart R Kaplin and artist Koji Furuta to reproduce the imagery of the Marseille Tarot in the classical Japanese Ukiyo-e (‘The Floating World’) style. The deck is respectful of the source material of the Tarot De Marseille but expands on this groundwork with attention to the style and customs of Japanese art and herritage. What predominantly sets the deck apart from any others is the ethereal beauty of the designs, rich in soft colour and intricate linework.
78 cards in a 2.5 x 4.5 inch size, including an information booklet containing a short introduction and divinatory meanings of the cards. Comes in a simple card tuck box.
