Visconti Sforza

A faithful reproduction of the Pierpont Morgan Visconti-Sforza Tarocchi deck dating back to mid-fifteenth century Milan. This deck is one of the oldest surviving examples of Tarocchi cards, handpainted miniatures made for Italian nobles to be used in card games.

Four lost cards (The Devil, The Tower, The Three of Swords, and the Knight of Coins) have been replaced by modern reproductions that assume the style and essence of the era to make up for the missing originals.

78 extra-large 3.625″ x 6.875″ size cards in a sturdy lift-top box including a 62-page booklet detailing the heritage and meanings of the cards.
